McCarthy thanks Hueffer (possibly Ford Madox Ford?) for his book of verse with an inscription. She asks for his opinion of Oedipus at Covent Garden and writes that Fanny's First Play is still doing well at Kingsway Theatre. She signs herself Lillah McCarthy.
